Art, in itself, is an attempt to bring order out of chaos.

I started performing when I was 12, I played softball for 6 years prior to that, so I was entering a totally different world. I had no idea what I was getting into or how it would change my life. I was in the drama class at Nolan Middle School, and after school I was introduced to Spotlight Kids, a theatre troupe in Sarasota ran and directed by Cynthia Howe Ashford, and vocally guided by Terri Balash. My first show ever was Alice in Wonderland Jr. at Nolan; I was a rock lobster! Ever since I first opened a script I’ve been in love with the art of theatre. I always sang when I was young, and as a toddler, I demanded the limelight so it makes sense that this passion would quickly turn into a lifestyle. My first few years in it, it was still just a hobby to me. I thought that there was no way I could make a career out of this, which came from a dark place of self doubt, but when I went to New York on a girls trip in 2017 with my amazing mom, I knew. We scored close seats to the Carousel revival starring Jessie Mueller and Lindsay Mendez, and when the first note of the overture started, I was flooded with so many emotions and I just knew that I had to this for the rest of my life. Theatre and Music are such powerful forms of art, it’s absolutely breathtaking to see the various mediums that the minds of this world create art with, and how deeply it can affect the consumer.
